This standard covers the safety and performance for surge protective devices that limit surges on the coaxial cables that connect the antenna to the transmit/receive electronics in RF communications applications.
View ProductsPolyPhaser offers over 40 coaxial RF surge protectors that are certified and carry the UL-listed mark. They are useful for applications such as land mobile radio, cellular communication systems, remote industrial monitoring, public safety systems, HF/UHF/VHF radios, emergency response systems, ham radios and many more.
Our UL-certified coaxial RF surge protectors cover frequency ranges from 1.5 MHz all the way to 2.7 GHz. They feature a wide variety of maximum input power ratings, from 10 watts to 2 kilowatts, and can handle surge currents from 3 kA to 50 kA.
These UL 497E approved coaxial RF lightning surge arrestors employ GDT, SASD and MOV protection technologies, and features such as low-PIM, DC block and multi-strike capability. They are available in several popular connectors, such as 4.3-10, N-type and 7/16 DIN. Many of them are rated IP67 waterproof.
