When the standard is safety, UL is the global standard that sets the bar. As an independent product safety and certification organization, UL has provided product testing and safety guidance for more than a century.
CE ensures compliance with the applicable European laws covering safety, health and environmental protection. Transtector Systems products are engineered for the European Economic Area, meet CE marking standards and indication is shown on product label and specifications.
The EU Directive 2002/95/EC Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) is aimed at reducing the hazardous materials content in electrical and electronic products. It specifically prohibits or restricts the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). More info...

Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE) addresses the problem of product recycling and requires products to be labeled to identify participation in the program. To comply with the WEEE directive, PolyPhaser and Transtector Systems have incorporated use of the EU-approved "double-crossed wheelie bin" symbol, affixed to products when delivered into all European countries.
