PolyPhaser and Transtector Systems Appoints Quality VP

Smiths Interconnect’s Protection Technology Group announces the appointment of Devin Samuelson to the role of Vice President of Quality for PolyPhaser and Transtector Systems, effective February 28, 2011.

Shawn Thompson, President of the Protection Technology Group, said “Quality assurance is an essential part of our business. We recognize the value that senior leadership like Devin’s will bring to PolyPhaser and Transtector Systems through this key function. Devin’s extensive experience in high technology, electronic manufacturing environments will support continued integration of the latest quality standards throughout all aspects of our business.”

A certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Samuelson’s experience includes lean management, and in-depth understanding of the standards of ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14000, RoHS, CE, WEEE and UL. In the past 20 years, his career includes leadership positions in quality management at Honeywell International in both their Aerospace and Electronic Materials divisions and most recently he was a consultant to the Boeing Company for their 747-8F aircraft development program’s critical path.
